THE Island Explorer is a private guesthouse providing two modest apartments, each with self-catering facilities. One has two bedrooms and the other has just one bedroom. Located alongside the old harbour, it is just a short stroll to Neiafu's main street with its restaurants, cafes, bars, tour operators, shops, banks and other facilities. Owners of the Island Explorer (who live above the apartments) also own one of the restaurants in town - Laredo's Grill. The apartments are not on the beach but do offer a convenient base for those who wish to go out sailing, fishing or diving each day but who wish to be close to town each evening. The kitchens include full refrigerator, stove and microwave. Wireless Internet is available. island.
